Email subscriptions are ending...

Do you normally receive my blog posts into your inbox?  Well if so, you need to read this!

Recently Google announced that the Blogger email delivery service will be ending in July.

That means that if you have signed up to get my posts delivered to your email inbox automatically, that's going to stop happening very soon.

I've been trying to find out if there is an alternative and to be honest, it's all a bit confusing.

I can start a newsletter instead, but I don't really understand the jargon and apparently I need a special email address and who knows what else.  Not something I really have the time to try and get my head around right now, and also the cost of it is looking fairly hefty!

There's always something like Patreon, but that means charging you.  It's something I may want to do at some point, but only when I can make it worthwhile for you, which I can't at the moment.  So that's not an option either.

In short, it's left me in a bit of a pickle.

For now, I think I've found a fix for you though.

It's called 'Feedrabbit' and if you sign up and add my blog to it, they will deliver my new blog posts to you as I make them - hooray!

You can also add up to 9 other other blogs to your subscription list and have those delivered to your inbox too - completely free.

The downside to this one is that as it's a different service altogether, you will have to sign up again to keep receiving my blog posts.  I can't just transfer you over, even if you've subscribed before.

So, to continue getting my blog posts delivered to your inbox after July 2021...

Six Simple Steps to sign up...

1. Click the link above and you'll see this page.  My blog details are already filled in, just hit 'Subscribe'.

2. If you are not already a Feedrabbit member, you'll be asked to sign up.  Click the green button.

3.  Enter your email address in the box and click to sign up'.

4.  Feedrabbit will confirm the details of the new blog you are adding.  Click the blue 'Save' button.

5.  Almost there, the Feedrabbit subscription to my blog is now set up, now you just need to confirm you want to receive these emails...

6.  Go to your email account and find the Feedrabbit email.  Click the link to verify your account.

That's it, you'll start receiving my blog posts by email again!

By the way, blog readers like Feedly and Bloglovin aren't effected by this change!

  1. I'm sorry that Google is putting this pressure on you. I see another blogger I follow is switching to use Follow It that starts out as free and just at a quick glance looks pretty cheap even for the subscriber plans for the blogger. I don't know all the details, but it might be worth checking out.

  2. I follow you on https://www.bloglovin.com/ It automatically shows me your new posts. I had to sign up and put in your web address and click follow.
I have it in my bookmarks and go to the site to see new blog posts from all the blogs I follow.
I follow a LOT of blogs and it has been reliable for me.

    1. Yes, that will be fine! Bloglovin' is a different service altogether. The changes at Google won't affect them.

  6. I am subscribed to your blog through Feedly app—it works great I use it on my Apple phone and my Amazon kindle. I follow all of my fave crafty blogs on Feedly.

  7. I use Bloglovin which is ok, as I see a bit of the first part of a blog post and a photo. One of the other people I follow uses Follow It, but I don't like it. The email that arrives is chock full of ads, and the only thing I can see of her actual blog post is the heading. It'd be extra important to have a catchy title because I'm finding I hardly ever click through to read her posts now.

    1. Oh yes, I know what you mean, I don't like the sound of that either. Ads can be so off putting!

Luckily this won't affect Bloglovin and Feedly or other blog readers, so that's something at least.
