  1. The Water Clover top turned out beautifully, it looks like you got a perfect fit. It looks so nice!

I used to make perfect button holes but I had to do them in 4 steps. After a while it became simple to do and they always turned out well. I used to do them all the time. 'Upgraded' my machine and now have a one step button version. I haven't used it much but when I wanted to I couldn't as I needed to make a button hole for the tie of a wrap skirt to be pulled through and it would need a larger button to put in the thingy than it would accommodate. I find it quite annoying that I don't have size control. I've considered getting a machine with 4 step button holes but can't really justify it as my sewing is minimal right now. I know quite a few people have issues with the one step version wanting to do their own thing; I think sometimes it is feed problems - not liking thicker fabric. Anyway, I've been put off them too. They seem to vary a lot with different machines too.

Love your new cushions, and it was nice to see those pretty hangers again. I also love the colours of your peachy shawl/wrap in the background. So pretty. Hope you have a lovely holiday, thanks for showing us the lovely things you have made. No reflection on the glasses at all. I also like to give my eyes a break from contact lenses when I can.

    1. That's a good point actually, my old machine used to have 4 step buttonholes too and although I was always nervous about doing them, actually I just followed the instruction step by step and they turned out fine! I'm glad you told me that I'm not the only one that's had problems with the automatic version, I was beginning to think I must be as dim as anything to not be able to figure it out! I did actually keep my old machine for a while after I got my new one, just in case.... I wonder if it's still knocking around somewhere?? I'll have to look I think!

Thanks so much for the kind words and for watching! I'm really looking forward to going now, I'm sure it'll be great!
