Strange Times!

We are all going through some difficult times at the moment as we learn to cope with the spread of COVID-19 virus and I very much hope that everyone is managing ok and that like me, you are getting some comfort from our creative pursuits.

For my part, things seem very busy and that's good actually as it keeps my mind off the more worrying things.  Home schooling has started here now too, so that's been interesting to say the least!

My plan is to try and continue keeping Cherry Heart ticking over as well if I can, so hopefully I'll still be able to find a way to podcast and post over the next few weeks, but I'll have to see how things go I guess.

And of course, I still absolutely love receiving and reading your messages and comments, especially at the moment.  So I'm continuing to do my best to keep responding to as many people as I can as well.  But I hope you'll be patient with me please as I have so little time to do that now!

Instead, I've updated my FAQ page with answers to as many of the usual types of questions that normally drop into my inbox as I can think of, so I'm hoping that will help you find the answers you need without having to wait for me to come back to you.  Although of course, you are still welcome to get in touch if you can't find what you need there. I'll try my best not to keep you waiting too long.

Keep safe everyone and keep enjoying those happy soothing stitches.

  1. Hi Sandra,
These are really strange times. I hope everyone is taking it very seriously, I am anyway. I have a grandma (aged 87) and I work as a nurse with people who have mental and physical disabilities, and most are elderly people. I fear for them and my grandma. How are things in England? You're in total lockdown? 1 daily walk? Can't imagine that. We don't have that here in The Netherlands but I try to keep my distance from everyone, as everyone should do. I find so much comfort in my crafts and I bet you're too :-). Hopefully everything will be alright.
Stay safe and stay healthy, for you and your loved ones.

    Big hugs from me,
    Emily

  2. I love looking at the ball of yarn, I am knitting a pair of socks for a friend in North Carolina at the moment and also a cowl. I enjoy having more than one project on the go as I do get bored. I also am making cards or at least getting some plans to make some cards. I have plenty to do inside and am only going out when I really have to. I go for my walk with the dogs and I really enjoy that time, to be able to still get out of the house and not just into the yard. People are still panic buying! Most people are being very respectful, but there are some that just simply believe this is a hoax. I feel for those who are around them. Stay positive and creative. :) Virtual hugs from Victoria, BC CAN.
